Welcome to Untext (“we,” “our,” or “us”), developed by Nihar Sai. Untext is an iPhone app for people who have decided to move on after a breakup or divorce and want a private place to keep that boundary during difficult moments. It offers a local timer, a personal agreement, urge-support exercises, private writing (journal, vent, and unsent messages that are never sent), and on-device lessons.
Untext is designed around on-device storage only. We do not operate a Untext account system, and we do not run a first-party cloud database that we can log into to view your space. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, where it is processed, and the choices available to you.
This page describes the current Untext prototype inspected on September 13, 2026 (com.stillprototype.nocontact). It must be reviewed again before any App Store release if iCloud sync, backup/export, purchases, notifications, analytics, or optional AI support are added.
Depending on how you use Untext, you may enter:
These records can include sensitive relationship, emotional, and health-related information. They are stored locally on your device as a protected file in the app’s Application Support directory. Untext writes that file atomically, applies Apple’s complete file protection, and marks it as excluded from device backups. Untext does not upload these records to a server operated by us, and we do not sell them.
You do not need to create a Untext account or provide an email address, phone number, or real-world identity to use the app.
Onboarding answers stay in memory until you finish setup and save. Existing entries are not changed until you tap Save.
